Proposition and UG campaign for UWE Bristol

Needing to stand out from the competition and attract undergraduate students, UWE Bristol required a proposition and campaign expression that was appealing and honest. Taking their overarching brand essence – A university for the real world – we extended it into their undergraduate recruitment proposition – More than a degree, a 360° experience.

Highlighting all the aspects of university life, a 360° graphic was created to instantly conveys the experience, with each angle representing an aspect of university life, from study, joining clubs, finding accommodation, to the more emotional impact of being away from home and making new friends. The angle was then used as a the graphic language across the campaign communications.

To express the vibrant nature of UWE Bristol we created an engaging and fast paced film that embodied the sentiment of living life to the full and seizing all your opportunities as an undergraduate. It not only included the campuses’ but wider areas of such as the city centre or greener spaces.

Capturing moments

Embarking on over 20 photoshoots across all campuses’ allowed us to capture the authenticity of studying at UWE. We showed both the personal interactions between friends or having reassuring tutor support, as well as the facilities on offer. Using 4 stylistic approaches alongside general photography gave them an own-able style that made a bigger impact. Including; Tunnel View, Overhead, Straight-on and Split-screen.

A couplet construct that was already present in their logo was taken to inform how headlines were styled. This went across all mediums, including, print, digital advertising, social assets and environmental.
